Exploring the Six Sense Bases:
A One-Day Insight Meditation Retreat
Join us for a day of exploration into the heart of Buddhist practice through the six sense bases: sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, and thoughts. Drawing on the wisdom of the Lokapañña Sutta, we’ll work with how the world we experience arises through these six doors of perception, and how working skillfully with them means working with everything in our lives.
This retreat offers an accessible introduction to insight meditation. Through guided sitting meditation, mindful walking, intentional eating, and sensory awareness practices, you will learn to bring mindfulness to the full spectrum of your lived experience. Whether you are new to meditation or looking to deepen your practice in a supportive setting, this day offers a wonderful opportunity to discover how every moment – every sound, sensation, taste, and thought – can become part of the path to awakening.
